I absolutely adore Barcelona 🇪🇸. It’s big and small at the same time – vibrant, warm, beautiful, and full of life. And the jamón… oh yes, I could eat it every single day! Spanish itself is one of the most beautiful languages in the world – it’s like music to my ears. Every time I hear Spaniards talking to each other, I just want to dance!
Barcelona has it all: sun, sea, culture, history, stunning beaches, incredible food, mesmerizing architecture, a relaxed and friendly vibe – and if you’re craving mountains, they’re just a short drive away! Feel like skiing right after lying on the beach? Just hop in a car and head to Andorra. More on that, in my post about Andorra 🇦🇩.
I had dreamed of visiting this city since my school days. So when I found out my university was organizing a student trip there, I was beyond excited – counting the days until I could finally see Barcelona with my own eyes. And it didn’t disappoint! We spent Christmas and New Year’s there, and it was unforgettable.
🎄On New Year’s Eve, we followed the Spanish tradition of eating 12 grapes and taking 12 sips of champagne in 12 seconds. Who came up with that madness?! But I did it – and surprisingly, many of my wishes came true. That’s the magic of Barcelona for you!
A couple of years later, I returned to explore even more. I visited all the must-see sights, wandered through the charming streets, relaxed on the beach, indulged in my beloved jamón and sipped sangria under the sun. It’s the perfect destination when you don’t know where to go because Barcelona never disappoints.
There’s something for everyone here, no matter your age or interests. And without a doubt, I’ll be going back again.
