Italy 🇮🇹 is truly a special country! I’ve visited many times and explored numerous cities, so coming back always feels exciting and incredibly comfortable. There’s something so cozy and welcoming about Italy that keeps me coming back. It’s definitely one of my top 5 favorite countries.
My very first trip to Italy was years ago – I went to Rome with one of my favorite travel companions, my sister. What an unforgettable trip! It was a surprise birthday gift for her, and I still remember her face when I told her, “Tomorrow we fly to Rome!” – totally unexpected and priceless.
Rome felt like a living museum – stunning beyond words! We visited all the must-see spots: the Colosseum, Vatican City, museums, and of course, we ate an incredible amount of food – because Italy truly has the best cuisine in the world! We walked all day, partied all night, then walked again, and partied some more. It was an amazing long weekend filled with laughter and adventure.
A few years later, we returned to Italy, visiting several places. We started in Bologna, then headed to Rimini, went all the way to San Marino, and finally ended up in Venice. By the time we arrived, we were exhausted but still exhilarated – Venice itself is an experience like no other, especially during the Venetian Carnival week. 🎭 The city was absolutely magical!
Venice is a city like no other – made up of 100 small islands, with no roads, only canals. You get around by walking or taking gondolas. The narrow, winding streets make it easy to get lost – and that’s part of the charm! I loved stopping at tiny espresso cafés, enjoying a quick espresso shot before continuing my explorations – so very Italian!
San Marino was fascinating – a tiny country inside Italy! The highest point, Monte Titano, stands 739 meters high and is said to offer incredible views. Unfortunately, we missed them that day due to thick fog, making us feel like we were walking on clouds instead.
Our final destination was Pisa. The train ride from Venice to Pisa took just 3.5 hours, passing through beautiful scenery along the way. Pisa itself is a charming small city, best known for its iconic Leaning Tower and amazing Italian pizza restaurants. ✨
