Dubai – from Desert to Dream

Who could have imagined that in just 40 years, a stretch of desert would transform into one of the world’s most incredible, cosmopolitan and fastest-growing cities? Dubai is truly special, a modern marvel unlike any other.

For me, it’s one of the best travel destinations in the world – a place that takes your breath away and sparks endless inspiration.

Once home to desert Bedouins, pearl divers and sea fishers, Dubai has undergone a dramatic transformation fueled by oil, finance and tourism. Today, it’s world-famous for its futuristic skyline and cutting-edge architecture. Just look at what this city boasts:

🌍 World’s tallest building

First seven-star hotel

🛍️ Largest shopping mall

Largest choreographed fountain

🕌 Highest mosque

🏨 Tallest hotel and tallest residential building

❄️ Biggest indoor ski resort

🏝️ Two man-made Palm Islands & a world-map-shaped archipelago of 300 private islands

💰 40% of the world’s gold traded in Dubai

✈️ Dubai international airport is the busiest in the world, welcoming over a million visitors every single day.

I’ve been to Dubai many times, and I’m still fascinated every time I go. The city is evolving so quickly that every visit feels like the first. New parks, neighborhoods, skyscrapers and islands seem to appear overnight – it’s a city being built at the speed of light using the full power of the human imagination.

I’ll definitely keep coming back every few years, just to witness the evolution and admire the latest architectural masterpieces.

Don’t Miss: Abu Dhabi 🇦🇪

If you’re traveling to the UAE, make sure to visit Abu Dhabi – the country’s capital and largest emirate. With over 200 islands and 700 km of coastline, it’s a destination of luxury, culture and iconic sights. It’s home to the breathtaking Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque and also hosts one of the most exciting events in motorsport: the Formula 1 Grand Prix, held at the world-class Yas Marina Circuit.

A Desert Escape

Just an hour’s drive from Dubai is the Al Qudra Desert, known for its dramatic red dunes. Here you can enjoy dune bashing, sandboarding, camel rides and catch one of the most magical sunsets imaginable. Pure desert magic!

A Day Trip to Oman 🇴🇲

Want to make your UAE adventure even more unforgettable? Take a one-day trip to Oman and go on a traditional dhow cruise through the fjords of Musandam. This area is often called the “Norway of the Middle East” – minus the snow and sub-zero temps!

The scenery is absolutely breathtaking – a blend of crystal-clear waters and the majestic Al-Hajar mountains that rise sharply around the fjords. It’s unlike any other natural landscape in the region.

Dubai and its surroundings are the perfect blend of luxury, adventure, innovation, and natural beauty. Whether you’re into skyscrapers or sand dunes, Formula 1 or fjords – there’s something here that will leave a lasting mark on your travel memories.
